Shalom Indigenous Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organisation, in collaboration with The Bible Baptist Church has last monday donated items worth 6000 ghc to the 37 Military hospital and the Ghana Police Hospital in Accra as not only part of their corporate social responsibility towards giving back to the vulnerable, sick or poor in society but this time as simply, a gift for Xmas.

The items which includes eight boxes of Pap-smear, two wheel chairs, ten walkers, eight boxes of nose masks, and twenty crutches were distributed among the two hospitals simultaneously in equal proportion.

The Divisional Head Pastor of The Bible Baptist Church, Rev. Noah T. Quarshie, who made the presentation to the hospital authorities, noted the items were to serve as a gift for patients aiming to put a smile on their faces during this yuletide Season.

He urged the doctors and the patients to take good care of the items, adding the pap- smear is especially dedicated for the use of only women because they are noted to encounter cancer problems which will augur sanitization of their private parts.

“This is the contribution from a non-governmental organization to mother Ghana” he added.

The Acting Director of Nurses Services Lt. Kernel Ivy Tamakloe who received the items on behalf of the 37 military hospitals thanked the donors for their  immense support towards the sick and the poor this season.

She noted that the 37 military hospitals is a national disaster management hospital which attends to a lot of patients who could not afford to pay their bills even in emergency cases, stressing the gesture will go a long way to assist most unfortunate ones who could not afford to buy crutches after having undergone surgical operations.

“We are grateful ones again for these gifts, I believe this will go a long way to enhance our good work, thank you very much” she added.
