Eckankar Ghana Set to Hold 2015 Eck Regional Seminar

Eckankar Ghana is set to hold its 2015 Eck Regional seminar in Accra in which about more than 2000 members from across the country and beyond are expected to attend. Described as a soul searching gathering, the prestigious event, slated for July 31 to August 2, has the theme, “listening to the voice of God.” It’s touted as one of the biggest event on the Calendar of Eckankar, the religion of light and sound which are the manifestations of the voice of God. Topics to be addressed at the seminar includes: "Divine Love, a Universal Language?" "How Past Lives affect your present life;" "How do I change the world I created?" “Making this life a worthwhile experience”, “Replacing fear with love” amongst others. The 3-days event will begin with a public workshop on Thursday, July 30 from 2:00p.m – 5:00pm, then continue from 6:00pm to 8:00pm which will serve as an ice breaker to the main seminar which starts off on Friday July, 31 and ends at

Diplomatic Platform Supports Akropong School for the Blind

Diplomatic Platform, an NDC youth wing, has presented assorted items worth GH ₵5,000 to the Akropong School for the blind to help the school meet some of its daily needs. The items included 20 bags of rice, 1 carton of cowbell powdered milk (tin), a sack of powder soap, 3 cartons of washing soap, 20 packs of toilet rolls, 2 cartons of mosquitoes coil, 1 gallon of cooking oil, 10 boxes of Indomie Noodles, 5 boxes of Digestive biscuits, a sack of sugar, 10 pcs of washing bowls in addition to assorted soft mineral drinks. The gesture, according to Julius Logass, administrator and leader of the Diplomatic Platform forms part of the groups devotion to donate and support t o ease the burden of pupils and the school management in commemoration of the third anniversary celebration of the former President of Ghana, late Prof. Atta Mills. Prez Mills whose relentless ambition to reach out to the disadvantaged in the society especially the Akropong school of the blind came to a halt  

3rd WAPOGA Games: Officials Calls on Corporate Organizations for Support

Prof. Sylvester Achio, President of the West Africa Polytechnic Games Association (WAPOGA) has called on corporate institutions, philanthropists’ and individuals to extend their support in both cash and kind towards a successful third WAPOGA games which Ghana is proud to be a host for the first time since its inception in the year 2000.  The call has become necessary even on the eve of the opening ceremony which comes off tomorrow July 25, at the Accra Sports Stadium, Prof Achio has indicated. John Dramani Mahama, Ghana’s President     is expected to officially open the historic 3rd WAPOGA Games at exactly 3pm which comes off at the Accra Sports Stadium. J H Mensah Endorses NDPC’s Long-term National Development Policy Framework

The Former Chairman of the National Development Planning Commission(NDPC), Joseph Henry Mensah, has endorsed the National Development Planning Commission’s concept of coming out with Ghana’s long-term development plan, calling for its sustainability when formulated. “It is the sustainability is what has been lacking, we’ve had so many on and offs; I think that is dangerous for any development country because things don’t happen if it takes a longtime to happen and if we’re into development planning, then things has to go on and be sustained that’s when you can expect something significant”, the venerable, senior former Minister has stressed. NDPC moves to ensure a successful Long-term National Planning and Dev't Policy Agenda

The National Development Planning Commission in its quest to ensure a successful formulation of its long-term National Development Policy Framework is welcoming on board collective views of all political parties including the general public in the Country for an input into the formulation of a national policy framework. This follows calls made by Former President Kufuor and other leaders in authority to the Commission to engage political parties and their flagbearers in the formulation of its long-term National Development Policy Framework towards socio-economic development, and the promotion of “an all-inclusive commitment by the parties”. As a result, the commission has deployed an entourage to the headquarters of some political parties in Accra to brief them on steps the commission will be adopt towards a successful formulation a long-term National Planning Policy and to invite their leaders to the launch of the Commission’s forum on the new policy framework, on Tuesda
