Gateway School Complex holds 9th Graduation Ceremony

The Pre-School Co-ordinator of Awutu Senya East Education Service, Mrs Sylvia Ofori-Nyarko, has charged parents and guardians to always endeavour to reflect good moral uprightness acceptable by the society in order to help create a conducive environment for children at home. She averred that the upbringing and development of children depend largely on parents and guardians hence the need for them to always strive to display qualities of a role model. Mrs Sylvia Ofori-Nyarko made this observation during a speech on the theme: "Elevating the confidence of our Future Leaders through Sound Academic and Good Moral Upbringing" at the 9th graduation ceremony of pre-school children of the Gateway School Complex, a private institution. The Director-General of the Private Security Operations Directorate(PSOD) of the Ghana Police Service, DCOP Mr. Edward Tabiri has observed the emergence of the Private Security Industry onto the country's mainstream security landscape has massively  complement the efforts of the police service to deliver on its core mandate of protecting lives and property in Ghana. While describing the move as 'refreshing', he explained, “Police cannot be everywhere all the time, so it comes as a relief that Private Security Organizations take care of security at most private homes and businesses". Korle Bu gets Van Moorhouse Foundation support

As part of efforts to improve healthcare delivery in the country, Van Moorhouse Foundation, an NGO committed to enhancing lives of the underprivileged in the society, has extended its charity arm to the Renal and Oncology Units of the Child Health Department of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital with assorted items worth GH¢10,000. It has also presented an unspecified amount of cash to support the payment of hospital bills including drug prescriptions among others of the disadvantaged children. The items included cartons of bottled mineral water, clothes, toiletries, toys, books, mackintosh bed, diapers and food. The Coalition of National Women Organizers of various political parties in the country has called on President Nana Akufo-Addo  to exercise restrained and be strictly guided by the 1992 constitution of Ghana before appointing a new Commissioner into office to head the Electoral Commission. In a statement signed by a number of Political Party Women Organizers, including the National Patriotic Party’ Joyce Zampare, the women said they regretted the conduct of  President Nana Akufo-Addo towards the removal of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission(EC), Charlotte Osei and her two deputies of whom one of them is also a woman form office They expressed utter shock over the recommendations made by the committee members chaired by the Chief Justice, Her Ladyship Sophia Akuffo who also happens to be a woman leading to the removal of the top E.C.
