COP21: CSOs in Ghana hold National Climate Rally for awareness creation

Some civil society organizations (CSOs) championing the action 2015 campaign in Ghana have embarked on a national climate change rally aimed at creating awareness on the just beginning Conference of Party (COP) 21, a global UN summit on climate change in Paris. The rally led by the Purim African Youth Development Platform Ghana (PAYDP) was staged at the Agbogbloshie market in Accra on Sunday attracting masses of youth to the scene. The Vegetarian Association of Ghana (VegGhana) last Saturday honoured Radio Hogbe 106.5 FM at the launching ceremony of the 43rd IVU World Vegfest 2015 event dubbed "Vegfest Expo” at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park. Head of Civil Service Nana Agyekum Dwamena says the success of Ghana’s Public Private Partnership agenda can only be achieved if Ghanaian civil servants working within both public and private sector exhibit a high sense of professionalism and patriotism through the implementation of the PPP concept.  “They should exhibit high sense of professionalism and patriotism that is the only way this country can move forward,” he said. “They should be the people who will make the difference, who will bring about change.
