Diplomatic Platform visits Central Region,donates items to Cape Coast School for Deaf & Blind

Diplomatic Platform, an NDC youth group has presented assorted items worth GH ₵10,000 to the inmates of the Cape Coast School for the blind to help the school meet some of its daily needs when it toured the Central Region last week. The items include bags of rice, boxes of Indomie noodles, tins of milo and milk, cooking oil and assorted soft mineral drinks. Presenting the items to the inmates at a brief ceremony at the School’s premise in Cape Coast, Administrator of the Diplomatic Platform, Julius Logass explain the gesture forms part of President Mahama’s changing lives and transforming Ghana agenda.     “We are here for you to feel part of the changing lives and transforming Ghana agenda of the NDC. “We are also here to make sure that we extend what we have to the society but the less privileged ones as well” he stressed. Gov't urged to show commitment in fight against human trafficking

Engage Now Africa, an international NGO committed in ending poverty in Africa is calling on government to as a matter of urgency show strong political commitment by allocating adequate resources in combating human trafficking in Ghana.   David Kofi Awusi, Assistant Director of Engage Now Africa made the call during a press briefing and a media launch of a project dubbed “End Modern Slavery” work in Ghana on Thursday, 24 th April, 2016 at the Accra International Press Centre.   The launch of “End modern slavery” work in Ghana project was organized by Engage Now Africa on the theme: “Ghana on Tier 2 Watch list, What Next?”  According to David Kofi Awusi, the launch of “End Modern Slavery” works in Ghana seeks to bring on board all stakeholders with the aim of adopting a holistic approach towards ending human trafficking activities that put the lives of children and unsuspecting people at risk. Human trafficking in Ghana has become rampant growing at a fast alarmin
