Ghanata SHS launches 80th Anniversary and homecoming

The Paramount Chief of Shai Traditional Area, Nene Nagai Kassa VIII has appealed to journalists to consider giving prominence to coverage of developmental issues and tone down on politics which has dominated the media space.
“I’m saying that there are a lot of developmental stories around the regions and districts in Ghana so  journalists should  try and bring a lot more on those stories so that at least the people will  get to know about them instead of the  extensive reportage on political stories,” Nene Nagai Kassa VIII stressed.

He made the call in an interview with journalists on the sideline of the launch of Ghanata Senior High School's 80th Anniversary and the 2015 Homecoming launch at Dodowa in Accra.
Activities lined up for the Ghanata’s 80th anniversary celebration and 2015 Homecoming includes dinner dance, health walk and other interesting activities. The anniversary slated for November 2016 is on the theme: "celebrating Ghanata's 80 years contribution to academic excellence and national development through discipline".

Nene Nagai Kassa VIII, addressing the launch, called on the old students association to contribute both kind and cash to support development projects in the school.

“It is our duty as Ghanata Old students to put life in the school by supporting it to develop. Ghanata needs our presence; cash; skills plus whatever is required to grow therefore let’s put our shoulders to the wheel and support our alma matter for a better future of our children” Nene Nagai Kassa VIII, who is also an old students of Ghanata School said.
