PRINCE DAVID OSEI CROWNED CHILD POVERTY AMBASSADOR 2013




The African Rights Initiative International (ARII) has adorned Prince David Osei, a renowned movie star and a humanitarian as poverty Ambassador for the year 2013.
At a fundraiser event and award night dubbed Total Emancipation 2013 on Saturday,14th December,2013, at La Palm Royal beach hotel the Executive Director of African Rights Initiative International, Mr. Prince Oduro Williams and his team of Board members and supporters openly declared his support and conferred on him the honors as ARII’s poverty ambassador.

“This is the greatest task I’ve been given so far as a humanitarian ambassador and I pledge to work to support ARII’s agenda to the fullest; I hereby encourage all stakeholders to join hands with me in this endeavor “the actor said, when given the microphone on stage to make a comment.

The night was also used to honour various  key individuals whose contributions in diverse ways  has made fighting child poverty a success which is in line with African Rights Initiative International’s core-mandate of promoting human dignity and sustainable livelihood for children in Africa were also honored.

Out of ARII’s  two categories of awards at stake for the night, Chairman of Atlantic Trust Holding Limited,Mr. Alex Asiedu, picked the highest and the most prestigious of them which is the African Humanitarian Integrity Award whiles Chief Executive Officer of PAMICOR Limited, Mr Peter Amponsah  Mensah under Corporate Impact award category A was honored and finally Head of Sector marketing, sales and distribution department GHACEM Mr. Benny Fifi Ashun, under category B of corporate Impact award was also conferred upon ARII’s  goodwill ambassador for the year 2013.

According the Executive Director of African Rights initiative International,Mr. Prince Oduro, this initiative has come about to reward and charge the renowned actor and other personalities whose  immense contributions  towards relieving the plight of unfortunate children in the society is greatly felt.

In his remark, he noted the Total Emancipation 2013 project provides the greatest opportunity for people to sit and reflect on the issues that affect the plight and dignity of the African children to identify humble contributions towards building a better future for them.

“What we will be doing here today, will be to give these children a gift of a lifetime: our generosity. It will relieve the depravity of the African Child caused by poverty.” he remarked.

He appealed for support for funds to help fuel the agenda of ARII in order to preserve a soul and save a life in time.

The Total Emancipation 2013 was on the theme “Ending Child Poverty-The role of the African.
