A MAN 40 ESCAPES A NARROW DEATH








Kwabena Adofo, a young man believed to be in his 40s has been found lying down behind the Takoradi- station around Kaneshie in Accra with black eye swollen face with various degrees of scars on his body. What is believed to be another mob justice has been meted out to this man leaving the entire market people shocked and dismayed.

According to an eye witness, Kwame Agyapong, the victim was seen by an old lady loitering around a fitting shop holding some electrical cables in his hand near Kaneshie not far away from where he was lying. The old lady screamed loudly saying “thief” and all of a sudden mobs appeared from nowhere with whips, stones and harmful objects beating the man. Adofo quickly felt down helplessly on the ground in a pool of blood and petrol was poured on his body ready to be burnt. But for the timely interventions of some unknown fellows, he would have been burnt into ashes.

A police detective officer, inspector Frederick Kwame Opoku of Kaneshie Divisional Police station later on transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.
