Metropolitan Pensions Trust Gh Ltd, Fidelity Bank and 2 others donate to support 2013 Best Teachers’ Award Scheme.

Awards to national best teachers has improved over the years as a result of the enormous support from sponsors of various companies or corporate organizations

To complement the effort of rewarding dedicated teachers this  year 2013, Metropolitan Pensions Trust Ghana  Limited  has as one of the major sponsors has donated a sum of  10,000 cedis cash for the refurbishment of the house of the best second cycle teacher award winner, a motor bike plus  20 set of gas cookers. Mr Prince Kludgeson CEO of Kludgeson International also donated 10 Kpad(a locally manufactured upgraded version of ipad), in addition 10 computers and accessories followed Setco Plublishing Company who presented 12,000 cedis cash plus 2,500 worth of books followed by International Marketing Maintenance Code (IPMC) which has also donated 15pcs of Dell laptop computers and finally Fidelity Bank which has also presented a cheque of 2,000 Ghana cedis to the national Planning Committee of the teacher’s award scheme.

Hon. Alex Kyeremeh,Deputy Minister for Education ,Pre-tertiary  who received the items on behalf of the National Best Teachers Award Planning Committee lauded the initiative of these major sponsors for their cherished donations .

According to him, MTN Ghana last year donated the double Decker-Pick-up, a laptop and a printer including a set of computer and printer for his/her school.

He disclosed to journalists during the presentation ceremony that come Tuesday 1st October, 2013, other sponsors are donating saloon cars and other items to support the scheme.

He also used the ceremony to outline at least the three awards of the National Best Teachers which consists of: Overall National Award winner which will be taking home Sixty-five thousand (GH 65,000) Ghana Cedis to put up own house plus a laptop and a set of computer for his/her school. 1st Runner-up will also be taking home a saloon car plus a laptop and a set of computer for his/her school and finally the 2nd Runner-up who will also be going away with a saloon car plus a laptop and a set of computer for his/her school.
