NIBS now offers executive MBA programme
The
Noble International Business School (NIBS) in Accra has launched a new
executive master program designed and customized to prepare business leaders and
professionals for an internationally accredited Executive Master of Business
Administration (EMBA) degree program in affiliation with the Swiss Business
School (SBS), Zurich, Switzerland.
The
program is sharpened with tools intended to help students deal with the emerging market focus to be able to reach the very top of their career in VUCA
environments management as well as develop
students to be innovative and skillful
throughout their careers.
Addressing
the media in Accra, Professor Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, the President and Executive
Dean of NIBS said “the new executive MBA program is the first of its kind in
the world to be introduced by NIBS uniquely designed with discovery learning
approach style of teaching intended to transform the way students see things,
inculcate the desire in them to be challenged, to explore new ideas and
experiment to deliver new customer value. It also seeks to help students
develop an exponential mindset and perspectives that go beyond traditional
knowledge offered in ordinary EMBA’s.”
Prof.
Atuahene-Gima emphasized the need for the program to fly owing to the fact that
the school has strong international network presence and affiliations with top
notch Universities in the world as well as a well-planned and coordinated
program structured to be delivered by professors and experienced business
leaders.
The
program comes in 8 modules is expected to be completed over 16 months period; one
module completed every two months on weekends with modules to be delivered in
Ghana and Dubai plus in one optional emerging market Rwanda, South Africa or Malaysia.
It
offers project based learning which involves learning by working on hands-on,
real time consulting projects, case studies and on-field studies solving real
business issues.
One
of the major benefits students stands to gain is the opportunity to experience
business creation project to help them understand how to perform research and
use data powerfully to develop viable new business.
According
to Dr. Hod Anyigba, NIBS Director of Graduate Programs, scholarships will be
provided to students but especially to women because the “school believes in
women empowerment”.
He
explained the school has made arrangements with private institutions to provide
really good scholarships to students’ especially women. “We believe in women
empowerment and so we want to make sure that we have a good representation of
women in the program”. Dr. Hod added.
Dr.
Hod further explained students will be awarded 3 top notch certificates, a
degree by Swiss Business School (SBS), Zurich, Switzerland including two post
graduate certificates by NIBS upon completion of the 16 months course.
NIBS
is currently inviting application from
qualified students for the commencement of the new Executive Master of Business
Administration (EMBA) degree program scheduled
for April/May, 2017 as it opens
admission to the public. The entry requirements for the program includes: first
degree in any discipline-engineering, science, business, medicine etc. with 2
years relevant work experience or professional qualifications (ICA, ACCA, CIM,
CIMA, etc.) with 5 years relevant experience.
NIBS
