Education Ministry rejects abroad scholarships claims for 1,600 newly trained teachers
The Ministry of Education has refuted claims making rounds on some social media outlets suggesting that it is working in partnership agreement with a Non-Governmental Organization called JKLEDU to send at least 1,600 newly trained teachers on scholarship to further their education in Britain. According to the Ministry, it has come to its notice of an erroneous claim which has gone viral on some social media platforms suggesting it is with support from JKLEDU is granting scholarships to at least 1,600 newly trained teachers in the country to further their studies in Britain. The message reads: “interested people should visit their District Directors to fill forms before 28 th November, 2016”. It added that the number to contact for “detailed information” is 0249913162, advising those interested not to pay any amount, “be it in cash or in kind”.
