GPRTU members elated over election of new executives
Scores of Ghana Private Road Transport Union Members in Accra have rejoiced over the election of newly-elected executive members into office, saying "their worries are now over". The GPRTU members were seen on Tuesday chanting names of the defeated old executives amidst singing, dancing and joy saying "away". They demonstrated their full support for the newly-executives by hailing their names as they embarked on a short march through some principal streets in Accra in an attempt to show off. Ben Klottey, Chairman of Salaga Mamprobi taxi rank in an interview with Journalists said "God has answered their prayers by allowing the union members to vote the old executive members out of office". He said their worries of corruption on part of the old executives will soon be a thing of the past, adding they have so much confidence in the newly-elected executives to deliver to the satisfaction of the union members.
