Exercise utmost transparency in handling procurement activities-PPA boss charges practitioners
Procurement professionals and practitioners in the country have been charged to carry exercise utmost transparency in discharge of their duties. They have also been asked to carry out all activities pertaining to buying and supply of goods and services in a judicious and non-discriminatory manner to help achieve value for money. Mr. Agyenim Boateng Adjei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) led the charge whiles addressing participants at the an event to launch the “Code of Ethics & Conduct for Procurement and Supply professionals and practitioners in Ghana”. The code of ethics, an initiative of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS) which is being launched seeks to help all procurement professionals and practitioners maintain a high standard of integrity and probity in respect of the practice and supply profession in Ghana.
