MEDIA URGED TO SENSITIZE PUBLIC ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BREASTFEEDING

Dr. Maame Yaa Nyarko addressing the press at the event Dr Maame Yaa Nyarko, Vice President of the Paediatric Society of Ghana, has called for media support in educating public especially nursing mothers on the importance of breastfeeding in the country. According to her the media is a powerful tool for information dissemination and therefore has a     critical role to play in educating the public on issues pertaining to health “since most people are unaware of the right things so they do the wrong things” she stressed.
