Hon. Otiko Djaba marks her 56th birthday with over 100 street kids in Accra
The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Otiko Afisa Djaba has called on all parents and guardians in the country to show love, care, attention and demonstrate full responsibility towards the upkeep of children. According to her, children of school going age should not be allowed on streets either begging or engaged in any form of child labour including hawking if parents are up to task in the delivery of their God-given responsibilities Referring to the act of streetism and child labour as abuse of fundamental children rights and therefore criminal offence which should be abhorred, Hon. Otigo Djaba charged all guardians and parents in the country to be more committed in the welfare of children at all times. Hon.
