KOKUI SELORMEY CROWNED PHILIPS AVENT AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR

Abdallah
Khamis, Chief Executive Officer of Philips West Africa has crowned the Ghanaian
popular TV presenter Kokui Selormey as the campaign ambassador for Philips AVENT “Baby of the Year 2014 Competition
at the media launch event to mark the 30 years anniversary celebration of
Philips Avent held in Accra Labadi Beach Hotel last Tuesday, 23rd
September.
Kokui
Selormey who is also a mother, an actress, and a renowned singer and voiceover artiste expressed
satisfaction to be associated with the “Baby of the Year Competition 2014 and
for that matter the 30th anniversary celebration of Philips AVENT.
She identified herself as a staunch consumer of Philips AVENT products for the
past four years during which she has given birth to three boys. “As a mother I have used their products with all my children
and I can say that I experienced an extremely satisfaction, it is great that
they are implementing a campaign like this in Ghana which involves with mums
and includes them as part of this milestone celebration” she stressed.
Speaking at the launch of the
event, Abdallah Khamis, CEO of Philips West Africa described Kokui Selormey as hardworking
TV presenter and a perfect mother whose loyalty with Phillips Advent products
for four years has paid off therefore deserved to be treated special before
crowning her. “She really deserve to be crowned, Ladies and gentlemen, we all
know she is well known TV presenter, she’s done a good job, a morning TV show co-host of Visat
1, she’s done a lot of work around voice
over and travel all the around the world to perform other duties. I believe
other mothers would love to celebrate her as an achiever” the CEO said
In a jubilant mood, Kokui pledged to
positively project Philip AVENT’s image and create awareness about the
competition. She lauded Philip Avent for instituting the competition, saying it
would help mothers engage with the company on the occasion of its 30th
anniversary.

Abdallah Khamis in his speech observed that Philips is aware that tiny things
makes the biggest difference in life that’s why since 1984 the company has been
working closely with healthcare professionals and mothers to ensure that all
their baby-care and infant feeding products are designed with parents and
baby’s needs in mind. “During the last thirty years, we have developed a long
series of ‘first’ products, from feeding bottles and breast pumps right through
to the later stages of children’s development with toddler feeding solutions”
he noted.
He
said as part of Philips 30th anniversary celebration, the company
will be rewarding loyal customers with amazing prizes and fantastic goodies in
the “Baby of the Year 2014 Competition and
urged parents to join in so as to have their babies crowned in the end as
little stars.
To participate in the competition, eligible
parents have to share a recent picture of their babies aged between 0 and 18
months with Philips Avent via Whatsapp (0501294806), Facebook (www.facebook.com/PhilipAvent.GH) and email (info@theoneevent.com). Parents can also submit pictures of their babies at any
of the 40 Philip Avent retail outlets nationwide.
Each
entry, according to the company, will receive a free Philips Avent soother,
and must include the name, date, place of birth of the baby as well as a
30-word statement indicating why the baby deserves to be named ‘Baby of the
year’.
A
judging panel will then select the top 30 babies based on the best pictures and
descriptions and they will face a vote on www.facebook.com/PhilipAvent.GH from 25th October to 8th November 2014.
The competition will run from 23rd
September to 21st October 2014.
Three
finalists are expected to win great prizes including a photo-shoot with a
leading photographer and hamper of Philip Avent products as well as Philips
items for parents.
A
promotion that will see customers get a free Philips Avent soother each time
they spend GH₵100 at the company’s retail outlets was also announced.
Philips Avent is a manufacturer of
baby bottles, breast pumps, and other baby feeding and health accessories for over
30 years in Ghana supporting mothers and babies with quality, innovative
products.
