The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection(MOGCSP), Otiko Afisa Djaba has maintained the fight against child marriage in the country remains a priority for government as well as her ministry. She noted that was the main reason why the Ministry of Gender and Social Protection has taken giant steps towards promotion and coordination of national initiatives aimed at ending child marriage in Ghana in partnership with UNICEF and with support from Royal Netherlands Embassy. NGO supports Accra Psychiatric Hospital

As part of measures to improve  healthcare delivery in the country, Phoenix Resource Centre Global Aid Ghana (PRCGA), a Ghanaian based NGO has extended  its charity arm to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital with medical equipment worth GH¢15,000.00  It has also presented a cheque of GH¢1,000.00 to support the hospital to meet it daily needs. The items included 5 pieces of mattresses, 3 large boxes of medical equipment (syringes, needles, pen tips and vacuettes), 5 pairs of single walker, 2 pairs of 4 legged walker, 1 box of Compound lactate drips (20 pieces), 10 boxes of dust/nose mask (58 pieces), 5 boxes of hand gloves, 1 box of Thermometers (10 pieces), 200 pieces of Kellogg’s T-shirts and a Wheel Chair. The Executive Director of  the Hope for Future Generations, (HFFG),  an NGO,  Ms. Cecilia Senoo has appealed to  government  to as a matter of urgency enact  laws that will regulate the registration of  Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)  in the country. This, according to her will help prevent charlatans from getting registered on board the NGO profession as well as aid gov’t to track the performance of NGOs contributing positively to the development of the country. Infinix empowers over 60 UG students with skills

Smart device maker, Infinix has conducted 1-day training workshop for over 60 students of the University of Ghana believed to be its cherished fans. The training was aimed at enlightening the students on the usefulness of their favorite Infinix smartphones as well as help address certain minor challenges they might be confronted with daily. The 2-hour program which took place at the Akuafo Hall, University of Ghana Campus in Legon saw over 60 participants in attendance. They were taken through some troubleshooting exercises using their  Infinix smartphones including how to  effectively run software updates,  fix up their mobile phones, how to sign onto X club on their phones as well how to deal with other hardware related issues whenever they occur.
