350 Ghana-Reducing our Carbon (G-ROC), an NGO spearheading the Climate Change campaign in Ghana has partnered with Concern Health Education Ghana to sensitize over 200 students on the harmful effects of climate change. The move seeks to offer sustainable solutions to tackle the effects of climate change in Ghana. The students were drawn from six (6) senior high schools and a Junior High Schools located in the La Dade-Kotopon District Assembly of the Greater Accra Region. Irene Aborchie-Nyahe, a Human Rights Lawyer with International Federation of Women lawyers (FIDA) and Legal Assistance Network, Ghana has called on officers of Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVSU) of the Ghana Police Service to equip themselves with the adequate knowledge on the rights of women and the vulnerable in the society so as to be able to assist those that come to them to access justice for any form of violence or abuse they may have encountered. "They should also be abreast with the cases that are brought before them seeking for help," she stressed, adding "most of these cases are law based situations so even though they are not lawyers, they should read on domestic violence laws as far as they can". Devio Arts Centre, a non-profit organization that provides opportunity for children and young people to acquire creative life skills has held its 3 rd annual Children’s Art Festival. This year’s event held at the Osu Ako Adjei Park, Accra September was on the theme: “Sanitation and Recycling”. Over hundred school kids under the age of 16 who participated were expertly trained in activities like comic illustrations, face painting, clay and ceramics works, recycling of crafts, and paddington activities  as wells as cultural drumming and dancing.
